The Pancake Diaries.

If you ever read my actual Tuesday entries, you're going to notice a pattern. Every Thursday night we have pancakes.  They are not my favorite at all. But I make them because they're the favorites of Nora and Kyle. "CanCakes" is what Nora calls them. And she asks for them daily. So they end up as the Thursday night tradition.

Regular pancakes, pancakes with peach preserves,  pancakes with blueberry syrup, pumpkin spice pancakes, and many other variations. Recently though we've been making Cinnamon Roll Pancakes. These are definitely a sin. It's cinnamon roll filling that you swirl onto your pancake as it's baking. So when you flip it over, the deliciousness caramelizes and almost candies the pancake. I know, SO NOT GOOD FOR YOU. But these are so damn delicious your face will explode.

I love our little Thursday tradition and I love the look on Nora's face when she realizes it's CanCake time. Love the booger.
